Level Design
The levels in Kobayashi's Redemption play into the games mechanic well. Each level has enemies and platforms for the player to navigate through, and there are hidden rewards for players to find if they are adventurous enough, but be careful of what or whom may stand in your way. The jump puzzles incorporated into the platforms add to the mechanic of any platformer, which is jumping from platform to platform trying to reach an endpoint.
Attached to this dev log are some early design concepts of two levels and then screenshots of the same levels implemented into unity.
Kobayashi's Redemption will be at the Florida Poly Game Expo on April 23rd and playable on itch.io. Please feel free to play the game, and if you like, I would appreciate any votes for the game at the Florida Poly Game Expo.
